Hi, family! Just wanted to give you a quick report on April. Due to very loose ligaments in her shoulders (her left shoulder reached the point where it would dislocate randomly), two days ago all of the ligaments in her shoulder were removed from the shoulder joint and shortened, the joint rotated, then the ligaments reattached. She is feeling pretty rough right now but the surgery was successful. Hopefully within a couple more days she will be dealing with less pain and cramping in the injured shoulder. She can't lift anything with that arm for 6 weeks and then begins physical therapy so it will be a challenge for the twins, in particular. Fortunately Tom will be able to be home for 2 1/2 weeks through the worst of it. He is especially good with the children; that will help them as they make the adjustment to having to be careful around their mother and not have her hold them. Little Brooke is trying so hard to help her mother and feels particularly bad when she unintentionally hurts her. They are good children and Tom is a good husband. April is a tough woman, both physically and emotionally and I know she will be okay but thought you would all like to know what is happening in her life. Please say a prayer for her through this difficult time.
