So, we went to the Utah State Fair on Monday night (traditional FHE activity...). It was strange not to have Erin with us, but she is now in Logan again. We wandered the exhibits and checked out the cattle barn and the pigs, etc. We ate yummy food and tried to avoid the deep fried pickles and such. Then at about 9:45 we headed for the car. On the way we decided to walk through the pigeon building and who should be there but President Monson! He was holding a pigeon and talking with some guys. His security guys were all way shorter than him. There were cameras and phones flashing but it was cool to see the prophet for FHE!
Then a gal in our stake said that her grandfather and "Tommy" started raising pigeons together when they were boys, and the secretary at my school said "Tommy" had just visited her father last week! Her father was the President of the Salt Lake Temple when I worked there with Barry's mom.
(I would post my phone picture, but I am not smart enough to get it off my phone!--and besides that you all know what Pres. Monson looks like!)

That is SO cool! What lucky ducks you are! We have heard from the neighbors here that he is also a frequent visitor of the TG point Gardens when it first opens in mornings. I am just not brave enough to take the twins by myself. Hope you had a fun time!!
But it was really fun to show the picture you forwarded to my phone to my seminary students. They got a real kick out of it. Thanks.
