Congrats, Crystal and Rachel, Bob and Linda and family. We didn;t even know that Crystal was pregnant!!! What a great addition to the family.

So here is the update you alll have been wanting. We spent all of yesterday in Portland with doctors, almost 12 hours worth of doctors!! Aghhhh! After reviewing everything, surgery has been scheduled for the 25th of September at Doernbecher Children's Hospital. The surgery will take about eight hours in all. The surgery entails, a zig zag incision from ear to ear, pulling the scalp back and cuting pieces of the skull out. These pieces will allow room for his brain to grow, other pieces will be removed and reshaped to give his head a more normal and round apperance. They will use screws to reconnect the pieces of skull where it needs to be. As his brain grows, so will his skull filling in the soft spots the neurosuregon and plastic surgeon have created. Porter will be in ICU for the first evening perhaps the second. We have to stay at teh hospital a minimum of 5 nights. Most likely we won't be released until Oct. 1. My Parents are flying in on the 24th and leave on the first. Darwin's family will be around. Porter will be at extremely high risk for infection. So we will have to limit the amount of visitors and the length of their stay. However this doesn't mean we don't want visitors. We would appreciate anyone who want to come and see us. We are hopefully going to be staying at the ronald Mac Donald house that is right there by the hospital. Anyhow, any questions let me know. Thanks to all the family and prayers. We love you all.
