Update from Elder Pelton:
This week was amazing and a challenge, i have a new out look
on myself, life, God, the world, well lets just say everything.
Conference was so sweet, can you believe they lowered the age of
missionaries, that blew my mind when i heard that. my two favorite
talks were Elder Hollands and President Uchtdorfs talk on saturday
morning, those were really intense and made me so excited for what is
to come adn motivated me to a new level. i am still excited abotu
everything and ususally it ges away really fast but nope it is here to
stay.
i have found myself reflecting on my life and how soon it is
until i come home and that is more distracting then anytihng else i
have dicovered and i have been in a constant attle in my head to keep
my self focusd and not worry about the future. anyway through
conference and a zone meeting i have kicked my mind back into gear and
focus and i am so excited to finsh my mission strong and get things
going even more here in Fort Bragg. one thing that helped me
understand my potential was a video that our mission president showed
us at our zone meeting called "Butterfly Circus"  it is a video about
23minutes long and it is on youtube and you can buy it on amazon.com i
HIGHLY recommend it. everyone who reads this email should watch it, it
is absolutely amazing. it talks about how we all have real potential,
we just have to believe in oursleves and do it, we can do any thing if
we believe. that is the big lesson of the week is Believe in yourself
and Act on our belief.
we are teaching a lot of people that are believing that they
can come unto Christ. they are truly prepared and amazing people, i
love them and i am truely blessed and grateful i get to be here to
teach them. we are teaching a man named Roger he is a Seventh-Day
Adventist who doesnt go to church ever, but he is very open and wants
to learn about the Book of mormon and why we have it where it came
from, i dont think i have met anyone that is more excited to read the
Book of Mormon when we gave it to him than this man. everytime we go
over and he has a question about what he has read and we teach him
more about who they people are and what they taught he gets super
excited and wants to read more, he has slowed down a little in the
past few weeks cause he is trying to get back to work and is trying to
stay busy. he is very knowledgable in the scriptures and quotes them
as we teach him it amazes me. he is an awsome guy that is ready to
accept the gospel when he finds out for himself. we are also teaching
this guy named Joe he is a friend of an older man who is a less active
member that we teach and i have talk about him a little but he is
awsome he is like a massive sponge he takes in everything that we
teach and really wants to turn things around so he can go to heaven. i
worry about him though cause i feel that he is not sincere in wanting
to turn around more than to get help financially from the church, i
cant judge so i just teach. we also had some one come and watch
Conference with us Sunday afternoon her name is Kenya she is awesome
and has a really funny little kid. her and her 2year old son came to
the church to watch it with us and her kid was nto the most quiet
during conference but no one minded and he had crayons to play with so
he was occupied by that towards the end, he likes to stare you down as
well and it is really intimidating coming from a little kid like him.
but as far as i know she enjoyed it and learned a lot and i hope she
felt somtihng powerful from it, we have not had the time to talk to
her about what she thought. she is awesome she is like a sponge as
well loves to learn and is excited when we come over. that is some of
our people.
well now i have to go to lunch at a buffet with a polynesian
guy so we will have to see how much i can eat, i cant each as much as
i use to now, it is going to be an interesting lunch. well i love all
of you and can wait to hear from you. take what you have learned from
conference and act on what you learned.

Love from
Elder Pelton

It's amazing what two years can do to a person! He looks so great and as Aunt Brenda says, filled with light. When does he come home?
