This week has been very uneventful because everyone is starting to get in that summer mood of not wanting to talk with us. But we did have a few good lessons and we got to go to the temple this week as well so that was awesome. We got to go to the Sacramento temple and it is suprisingly small. Our session was packed full. I heard there was over 80 people in the session and they had to bring out folding chairs cause there were so many people. I think I like going to the Oakland temple cause there is more space to sit and feel the spirit because when you are knee to knee with the people next to you it is hard to get comfortable and concentrate on what is going on.

The weather here is starting to get a lot better. It rained a lot last week and the week before and now it is starting to get hot and into the normal 80's and 90's. Summer is going to be rough cause it gets up to 115 some days. I am not very excited for that.
We did have some really awesome lessons and picked up two new investigators this week so things are getting better. We finally got in with the family of 7 but it was only the dad who loves talking with us cause he loves learning about Christ and how he and his family can come closer to Him. We just stopped by to see how they were and my companion had to use the bathroom so he let us in. They were about to eat dinner but he let us sit down and we talked about life with him for a few minutes until he fed his kids that were there and then he came over and sat and talked with us. He brought up a bunch of questions for us like, why are there so many churches and is there one church that has the full gospel and why the sabbath was moved from Saturday to Sunday. So we just started answering left and right and gave him some scriptures to read until we could meet with them again. This family is the best in the world - they are so ready for the gospel.

We went around on splits trying to contact all our potentials and we met one from a year ago and she said we could come back. So the next day we went and stopped by and she was in the middle of cleaning 5 pit bull puppies, so we said we will help. When she finished giving one a bath we would atempt to dry them off and when all of them were clean, we tried to corral them together. We played with them for a little while and they love to bite. We helped her move them into a pen cause they were trying to sell them. Once all that was done, we sat down and taught her about Joseph Smith and what he did and got to know what kind of religious background she has. We invited her to be baptized and she accepted but did not accept a date to be baptized. It was awesome to invite some one to be baptized.

The best of them all was when we taught this girl who has a new child and is getting married in a few months. She was a street contact and she is very open to learing about religions and how she can be closer with her family. When we taught her, she was so down to earth. We got to know her and what kind of concerns she had and she said her relationship with Christ was not that great and it could be better. We taught about how she can strengthen that faith. We gave her a Book of Mormon and she was so excited to read somethng that can provide that comfort of relating things Christ did to her life and she said the prayer at the end. It was awesome and she is going to be baptized- we just need to invite her.
