Memorial Day Letter from Andrew
This past week has been very hard for us -not a lot happened with teaching and finding new people. But we made it out alive and we are going to try our hardest to do better this coming week. We did have dinner with one of our investigator families who are awesome. They are practically mormon but want to stay in their church. They let us play their pinball machine for a bit and we got to know them a lot better over dinner. We attempted to teach them the plan of salvation but they love to talk, so it make it difficult for us to teach. But they accepted to be baptized if they knew the Book of Mormon was true. It is a good thing the Lord answers prayers and the Holy Ghost will testify to them while we teach them because they are always thanking us for the wonderful spirit we bring into their home. We just need to meet with them to see what kind of an answer they got and what we can help them with.
This week we went on exchanges with the 3rd ward elders and I got to go with Elder Harrison, who was my last companion who got transfered to the 3rd ward, so it was just like old times. We stayed up late talking about life after the mission and how we are going to be married to some daughter of God some day when we get back. It was crazy to think about. This week we had 3 days in a row of no lessons and it was tough to get through since Elder Evans or I have no idea what we are doing. But this week will be lots better - hopefully.
On saturday there was a parade out side our house. So after our studies, we went out on a contacting bonanza. In the span of a block, we contacted maybe 20 people or more it was crazy! We only got 2 return appointments but that is better than nothing. The parade itself was really cool too, it was the town's Fiesta Day parade. That was the excitment of the week - other than getting turned down a lot by people. Things are going good with me. Love you all. Andrew
