Denver started soccer this year and LOVES it! He scored in the first game too! It is so cute to see the little ones chasing after the ball! Darwin is his coach and I think he enjoys it. They have great fun!

We just returned from Porter's annual visit to Doernbechers. Over all it went well, though not the way I was hoping. He had to have another CT scan and they had to put him under so he would sit still. He did much better than last year and it was much less tramatizing! The following day we had three appointments. In each appointment they ask if we have any concerns, and we do. Lately Porter has been complaining of his head hurting and it has become more frequent. When we met with the Plastic surgeon and the Nuerosurgeon, they both expressed that everything looks great, but the fact that he is complaining of his head hurting is a reason to be concerned. They have refered us to a Nuerologist who will want to do some tests in a few months. In the mean time we are having to keep a very detailed headache diary. They said they have found that headaches are the first sign of something bigger, and that although everything looks good it could be a sign that something is going on that they can't quite see... It could be a number of things. They did say that he just might suffer from headaches as a result of the surgery or it could be pressure slower building back up and causing pain, or it could be fluid building up, or a few other things. Regardless they said there is a high probablity that he will have to have additional surgergies. One thing after they have reviewed the headache diary they most likely would want to do is to place an elctromonitior thingy in his head to monitor and gage the headaches and frequency. If further tests show that there is fluid then we would be talking about putting a shunt in... so we will see... oh and then on the car ride home Porter was throwing up and it was the longest 6 hours of my life, sitting half way on the floor half on the bench holding a puke bucket for him... the Picture is when we got home and he was still sick.

The other picture is Emery on her Birthday! I can't believe she is one!! Since we were leaving to go out of town the next morning we celebrated her Birthday at our friends local pizza place. Her cake was a cupcakes that I put in a big pot and each was different flowers. it turned out pretty cute! She was so dainty eating it at first and then she dug right in! Here is alittle about Emery, she is a sweet little girl who is most often happy and smiling. She is tiny still only 16lbs but walks around and wrestles with her brothers. Her favorite toys are her little baby doll and most recently for her birthday a pink dog her Grandma Macbeth got her. She loves food, she will eat most anything and doesn't let the fact that she only has 2 teeth get in the way! She is a mommy's girl, and loves to point at things and say Mama and Dada. We are so blessed to have this sweet little angel in our family! We love you Emery!
