So, here is a little update from the Nelson's: On Easter Sunday about noon, Barry's brother Jim called and said he couldn't wake brother Mark. Mark had been living in Kansas City until Feb, when he decided to try the job market in Salt Lake, so he moved back and was living with Jim and looking for work. Jim seemed agitated, so Barry went up to his house and found Mark had passed away. The police were called and all that stuff, so our Easter/Barry's birthday celebration dinner turned out a little different than we had expected, but at least the family was gathered and the arrangements got under way. Belva had an extra plot by hers, so that is where Mark is buried. The funeral was nice and I think everyone was comforted. Kris and Mark's daughter Kristen came from Kansas City. The girls enjoyed seeing Kristen again and got her signed up on Facebook (what could be more important?). This last week we have spent time going through Mark's few belongings and trying to take care of some of the loose ends. Still no report from the autopsy as to cause of death. Life is certainly full of surprises, isn't it?

Jennae has been in San Diego with the West Jordan Choirs and they all got First Place in the Gold category, so "best of show". They should arrive home by bus around midnight tonight so they will all be fresh for school in the morning! Aubrey had her first day of refereeing County Rec. soccer--she likes running, I guess! But what a great part time job for her! She also got an A- in Algebra II--YAY!

Barry's shoulder is healing well-now he just gets to enjoy stretching and strengthening it (I thought Physical Therapy would be good, but he is gardening and hauling and all that stuff). We have planted peas three times now--the first two times something, birds maybe, ate all the seeds, so now we have covered the boxes with netting. Here's hoping!

Erin will be home from Utah State at the end of the month for the summer. Here's hoping she can land a sweet job and make lots of money for her 2nd year in Logan!

Those are the highlights and we hope all is well with all of you! (we had dinner with Jayann and Paul on Friday - Jayann said she has eaten jello with Spam!!! I can't really think of anything that sounds worsethan that!!)

Thanks for the update, Carla. It sounds as if emotions have swirled in every direction at your house.
