I am so excited to tell you all the results of our biggest loser event. It was a great success with some amazing results. It was about a lot more than just who could lose the most weight--like how to have healthier habits and help each other achieve goals. Here are some stats that I think are inspirational.
Total Pounds LOST: 114 (59.6 from the men, 54.4 from the women)
Total % of weight LOST: 5.94% (5.03 from the men, 7.42 from the women)
This contest was completely optional, so some of us chose not to participate. Dad (uncle Bob) participated even though he still weighs the same as he did in high school, so he didn't have anything to lose. We all believe that the pound that he gained was all muscle, since he works out every morning. He has always been a great example to all of us of how to take care of our bodies while still allowing ourselves to enjoy the good things in life, like Mom's good cooking! Thanks Dad!
We did take before pictures, but with all the food ready to be eaten, we forgot to take the after shots. Since this was only a 6 week period of time, we don't think the pictures would show all the hard work we put in to this, but here are the percentages of weight lost for each participant:
Rob 6.34%
Bryce 4.96%
Clayton 5.69%
Eric 6.52%
Aaron 5.94%
Mona 7.63%
Rhonda 10.97%
Ruth 5.17%
Shelene 7.48%
Berta 6.09%
Congratulations to all, and continue to keep working hard because we're going to follow up again around Christmas time, just to make sure we don't gain all the weight back over the holidays. ; )

Go, team, go!! Yay us!!
I am amazed and impressed. Are you checking again on Friday?? :)
Wow! I'm impressed as well! Well done, Westover clan.
Not bad for putting forth absolutely ZERO effort on our part! Everyone else was great about sticking to a plan.
What a great project! Everybody who participated registered a healthy BMI under 25. The gals looked especially good sporting their svelter figures, and the guys looked more trim than usual. We won't be weighing in again until Christmas time since we had our TG dinner last Saturday so everyone could dine Thursday with their in-laws.
