News from Sis. White

My email I was writing just got deleted! Sorry if I don't sound as charming as I begrudgingly re-write this email. So MY FIRST WEEK IN TEXAS!! SO CRAZY! I think I am going to really love Texas! But Texas already loves Texas! There are lone stars on everything! Name it and you can get it with a Texas flag on it! I got the same tortillas I got in Mississippi but here they were "Texas size" so they were bigger! We were walking out of a members house in the evening and I noticed that the sky looked bigger and I realized...GUYS EVERYTHING IS BIGGER IN TEXAS!!!
It is so much fun serving in the same state as Grandma and Grandpa, I have a feeling they pulled a few strings getting me here. Knowing this was once THEIR  portion of the vineyard (well maybe a couple vineyards over) really motivates me.

Monday-I packed and said goodbye to Aubri

Tuesday- I spent all day long in the transfer van! I have now seen the whole mission except the Mississippi coast! I was so tired of being in the van! I was finally in texas at 5 o clock in the evening!

Wednesday-was  normal day! Except we started to get hit by the outskirts of tropical storm Bill! The rain POURED!!

Thursday- Still STORMING! But the rain would stop everytime we went outside! The moment we went in, the Heavens unleashed their fury! Around 3 we decided we couldnt walk anymore in the blazing sun, right as we turned back we got dumped on! He preserved us only for missionary work! oh and I got REALLY sunburned for the first time on my mission! I looked nice and red for our dinner with a member that night!

Friday-We weekly planned! And my BRAND new companion told me that she didnt think that this transfer will go well at all. That she cannot love me because I am too annoying. WELL EXSCUSSEEEE MEE!! I AM AS CHARMING AS YOU ARE EVER GONNA GET! My new companion Sister Beames does not like me! (I really want to talk about it so I will not send this to other missionaries!)  SO I am trying to put myself in I am a squishy piece of clay ready to be molded mode. Because this has never happened before!

Saturday was the ward party and lo and behold they played a get to know you game! How perfect for brand new Sister White! I now know a LOT about everyone in the ward!

Sunday- We had church! It didnt feel like fathers day at all! But we got what left over pie the fathers didnt eat at church! Me and my companion had a nice long talk for the rest of the afternoon!

Over all I had a good week! It was hard but I am excited about this area and the missionary work that is ready to be done here. And the ward is AWESOME!! We did 8 1/2 hours of tracting! That is and hour and a half more than required! I will be sending home some pictures of me walking through the flooded streets of New Boston soon!
Love y'all! Have a Blessed week!
Sister White
