Last week while doing a service project I loudly announced to one of the sisters in the ward, "I AM HAVING A BABY!" and one of the Elders’ investigators who was there looked at me, shocked and confused, “You are!!?” It took me a second before I realized what he thought I meant, so I explained, "No, Jerimicheal, I am not having an actual baby, I am training a new missionary!"
So this week has been really bittersweet! On Monday we cleaned and packed....and cried...of course...I really love that little stinker: Sister Garry, and am pretty disappointed we only got one transfer together! We probably were having too much fun for our own good, and I should have expected her to get transferred! But yup, last Tuesday we got a call from President M. and he sent Sister Garry to Bossier, LA. When I asked who was my new companion president told me, "A brand new missionary!"  I said, "NO WAY! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!" He laughed and told me I would be just fine! So far he has been right! I met Sister Fry at the transfer point and we have been fast friends ever since!
It was pretty crazy getting to transfers...Sister Garry was still packing right up until we left! So crazy! And on the way there the elders’ bikes fell off the bike rack! I am grateful I am not a weak child because we were lifting and moving those bikes for about half an hour (the bike rack broke). Of course when Sister Garry finally got on the transfer van I CRIED!! I wouldn't be a Macbeth descendant if I didn't! But then I got to meet my baby missionary! In the mission you refer to your trainer as your ”mom” and when you train you call your greenie your “daughter.” So I met my new daughter and she is the cutest thing! She is from Alpine, Utah! Utahan #3! She is seriously so sweet! I knew I was going to love her when I saw how much she loves her MTC companion-- like mother like daughter! Did I mention that Sister Garry gets my MTC companion, Sister Hill? SO JEALOUS!!
Bishop Dean drove the old elders down from Greenville so that way we would have enough room to put their stuff in the car and to take the new elders back to greenvile! But when we showed up the Vicksburg Elders weren't there...AND they were not answering their phone...THEY THOUGHT THEY DIDN'T have to be there till 2! So we sent bishop home :(fast forward two hours later... So they raced down from Vicksburg and hopped into our car! AHH!! I felt so bad!
We drove home from Clinton but the GPS I borrowed from a member took us this really weird back way....I don't know it was weird...we drove for a really long time through fields on this horrible roads! But we made it back just in time to realize we would NOT be able to make our appointments in time, so much for throwing her into the work! We went home and unpacked, she was SO tired! The whole drive she kept on saying "I am sorry I am just really tired..." She was totally dazed! I felt kind of bad taking her into our apartment that smells like cigarettes and stinky feet, but she didn't notice!
She has been pretty well taken care of though! We had pulled pork the next day for lunch because Sister Garry left a pork butt in the freezer. So don't worry Sister Fry's parents! She is in really good hands--well, at least she won't starve!
I am LOVING training! We are an obedient Satan-conquering team! Sister Fry is going to be raised in 100% obedience! I almost cried when she passed me the phone and said, "I don't think Sister Blah blah got permission from the APs' to call us..." SO PROUD! This girl is on fire! I was expecting to get a really nervous or shaky nineteen year-old girl that I would have to make speak or that wouldn't be able to bring herself to teach for the whole first transfer! BUT NO! I got a bomb dropped on me! This girl is a better teacher than I am! Are you ready for this?! In her first lesson she taught with 100% unity and SHE COMMITTED THEM TO BAPTISM AND THE INVESTIGATOR SAID YES! She used the scriptures and examples AND BORE AN AMAZING TESTIMONY! I mean it! This girl is amazing! I am pretty sure she is training ME!
We are having so much fun getting to work! Greenville has a lot to be done! So this week we had a huge list of people we wanted to see before the end of the week! And we got about halfway through it! But we went from 3 people with a date to 6! They doubled! I think Greenville has a lot of great things in its future! I am starting to love Greenville, I think it is a lot easier now that I am driving and know the area better.
We have had a lot of spiritual experiences this week, but I left my journal at home so now I can't remember any of them!
AHH!! Lady bugs have INFESTED greenville! AND GUESS WHAT THEY BITE!!

Don't forget about me!
