HOORAY AND SURPRISE:

Noel is planning to baptize his lovely wife, Chanel this Saturday! We are collecting favorite scriptures to pass along to one of our newest family members as she becomes a member of the Church. This was an incredible surprise for the whole Bothell crowd, because Noel and Chanel have been meeting with the missionaries, and have come to church several times, but none of us guessed---except Gracie who "calls 'em all." Since the news is out of the bag, I can tell you now that Elder Pelton has been working as a Facebook Missionary for part of his time in the field and he has been having many conversations with Chanel about the Church. She has also been in contact with a young woman she found on Mormon.org who has been in similar circumstances, who encouraged her as well. She told Al that at the end of a conversation with this girl about the Church being true, she got a FB text from Andrew that said simply, "It's all right." That's when she decided she should act on the feelings she's been having. We are all thrilled for her and Noel, who has been given the OK to baptise her. Chanel, if you read this, we love you and are so pleased with the choice you are making! kp
