From Sarah:
So we only have a little while to email since our P-day will really be Thanksgiving! I had planned on writing a long email, but have gotten distracted by downloading talks about missionary work to listen to during MY LAST WEEK IN THE MISSION!! So sad and crazy!

This week was good, but it turned out kinda poopy! We taught this member referral who is GOLDEN! And has already been reading the Book of Mormon and wants to be baptized. BUT even though this member told us "No, I want YOU guys (Sisters) to teach her," the elders pitched a fit since she lives in their area, and they won’t let us teach her. This of course happened after I give her a bunch of my clothes so she will come to church. She came to church!
Tracting was super fun this week week, we met a lot of characters! This man answered the door all angry because we were knocking doors during the Dallas cowboys game, but he ended up standing outside and talking to us for an hour! While we were walking this old black man pulled over and told us there would be a frost in the morning so we should cover up our flowers. We told him we lived in an apartment so we didn't have any flowers, and he responded and I quote, "I aint ever seen no ladies that don't got no garden! That’s a shame!" and then he drove away! So we might need to get some flowers or something...
I have never eaten so much sugar before, everyone has been feeding us cookies, cake and brownies all week. And each time a member has taken us out it has been to a fast food restaurant! Long Beach is trying to fatten me up before I go home!
I am going to be teaching district meeting and I have been asked to share my "wisdom." I am going to share all my missionary wisdom with you right now, and it can be summed up into two points! To be an amazing missionary: BE OBEDIENT AND LISTEN TO THE SPIRIT!
I am SO PROUD to be a missionary. This week Sister Elms have been sharing with each other every pioneer miracle we have ever heard, and it has PUMPED ME UP! YUP, so proud to be a member of this church! Which is why Sister Elms and I are going to HIT THE PAVEMENT!! This week is going to be packed with missionary work! And I am so excited to go out with a bang and to teach all the lessons I can teach! My mission has been hard, but so worth it.
I LOVE Y'ALL!
AND I WILL SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!!!
SISTER White
P.S. Being a missionary is the best.
