"Date Night With Sister Elms:"
Hola! My darling friends and family! Are you so getting excited for the end of these long drawn out emails? --Filled with experiences that really only feel special and miraculous if you were there! I appreciate those of you who actually read them (shout out to my mom and my dad), because these stories are so precious to me!
I don't have much to say this week because we were only really able to work for the past three days! Sister Elms was sick and I spent much of it recovering from some pretty bad food poisoning. BUT eventually we did feel better! In the meantime I have decorated our apartment with pictures from calendars from the dollar store. And am totally unpacked, which is real funny because I will be packing in three weeks!
BUT! AS ALWAYS! Blessed are those that weep for they shall laugh! (Luke 6) I LOVE SISTER ELMS SO MUCH! She is exactly what the doctor ordered! She is such a good listener and will let me just rant on and on without judging me or making me feel stupid! Yesterday we went tracting at night (5:30) but since it was winter it was dark out already. SO no one wanted to talk to us because it was dark BUT we had to tract BUT we didn't want to wake up all the old people who went to sleep because it was dark! So we walked around for three hours and knocked on any door we saw with lights on and people walking around inside. Not very effective, but the Lord blessed us for doing what we could to be obedient! It was actually kind of cold so when we came back I made enchiladas for two! And we ate enchiladas while we chatted about motherhood and the gospel (we have been reading a chapter of The Pearl of Great Price every time we have a lunch break, so we have been going deeeeeeeeeeeeeeepppppppppppp) but when we went to bed we laughed because it felt like a date, we went for a walk, ate dinner, talked and watched a movie!
So! Week four of the final countdown was good! HARD but good!
Love y'all! SEE YOU IN THREE!
