We are home! After a long night of driving we made it home! However....as with my life nothing is easy. On our way home I got a call from a friend of mine whose little boy was at Denver's Birthday party before the reunion. Well he and another one of Denver's little friends, broke out with the Chicken pox. Then I noticed that Denver and Porter both had a few spots. This morning they are still there but haven't fully spread or broken out. Here is hoping that it isn't a terrible break out and that Parker handles it ok. My doctor called us yesterday and wants to see us all ASAP to check on the boys. So we will see....I just wanted to apologize to everyone and I hope and pray no one in the family ends up with the Chicken pox. Sorry and we love you guys! It was great to see everyone. Also I forgot to take the sheet for the e-mail sign up for the members of the family who need to be invited, so if I could get that, it's be great! Thanks!

Don't worry about the rest of the family -- chickenpox is something that everyone needs to get behind them at some point anyway. I can remember when I was a child we camped in Yellowstone with Aunt June's family and Grandma & Grandpa Maurer -- all of us in one huge tent. June's kids broke out with chicken pox while we were there; Paul and David did too after we got home. But I've never had them, even when six of our gang had them all at once. Every-one seems to survive, even the Mom!

We were all so glad that you wereable to come to the reunion and that you got home safely. Keep in touch! Love, Linda

One more note -- Ruth was just six weeks old when all our kids got cp--she ended up with only two pox. So Parker might be protected by that new baby immunity that nursing babies ususally have.

Candace please don't worry about the chicken pox. Both Jessica and Miranda went to school with pox marks all over them and we didn't know they had them. It is one of those things you don't know you have until they show up. This to will pass it is just an annoying disease. Jessica got them had them everywhere. Laura and Nathaniel had them together and just had a few spots. They got over it and your got them. You were about Porters age. You had them everywhere. They didn't really bother you. You just looked like a truck had run you over.

Candace, We are glad you make it home safely! Thanks for coming to the reunion--I know it is challenging to travel so far with little babes, but I hope you and Darwin thought it was worth it. We were all delighted to see you again and hopefully we can see you more often in the future!
Love,
Carla and crew

What would we have to read about on the blog if suddenly the "Curse of Candace" was over?? Everybody has to have a great chicken pox story. Lee Ann missed the last week of second grade because she had them and a week later when we were in Yellowstone, with Grandma and Grandpa, the rest of them broke out. What do you do...go home?? No.... drive all over the park with people whispering about those kids who look like they have pox!!
