Last call for recipes! With the help of my mother I was finally able to get all the recipes from the old Macbeth cookbook copied into the new format and am getting ready to finalize everything before it goes to print. If you have any recipes you perhaps missed and really want to have in the cookbook, please email them to me by Saturday, June 7. Do you have sections that are lacking? I know that wouldn't be desserts, but if there was anything that the book needs, what might that be?
Good question. I think, for the most part, that we have a good selection for each section. Here is how I have them broken down so far:
Appetizers & Snacks - 11 pages
Beverages - 5 pages
Bread - 14 pages (Mom - I'd like to put in your Whole Wheat Bread recipe - can you send it to me?)
Breakfast & Muffins - 12 pages
Brownies & Bars - 9 pages
Cakes & Frostings - 14 pages
Candy & Misc - 10 pages
Pies & Puddings - 8 pages
James & Jellies - 3 pages
Kid's Corner - 16 pages
Main Dishes - Misc. - 5 pages
Main Dishes - Chicken - 16 pages
Main Dishes - Beef - 7 pages
Main Dishes - Pork - 4 pages
Main Dishes - Pasta - 6 pages
Salads - 15 pages
Soups - 10 pages
Sides & Vegetables - 7 pages
Toppings, Sauces, Syrups & Spreads - 7 pages

The cook book sounds great. Looking forward to reading and using this new book. How many copies are you planning to have and do you have a cost yet? Thanks for putting this together for the family.
Aunt Ann - I'm not sure yet. I need to get everything formated and numbered still so I can determine how many pages it will be before I can get an official price quote - and from what I understand there may be some money available in the Macbeth family account to put towards the cost?? I'm planning on ordering as many books as people want.
You have put in a lot of work. Thanks for doing this for the rest of us. I can't wait.
