Dear Family.
Yesterday we had some wild weather in the Fort Collins area. Windsor a town about twenty miles away was hit by a tornado. The town suffer a great deal of damage. We had rain and some high winds. We live close to the mountains so things were pretty safe for us. All the schools were in lock down for a portion of the day. Laura and Nathaniel were working closer to the storms. They both could see the storm as it was approaching the area. In fact Laura called me to make sure I knew what was going on. The moment she called the rain had stopped here and the sun was shining. The clouds came back in and the wind picked up. I gathered a few things took them to the basement and kept one eye on the sky and one eye on the news. At one point the wind picked up just enough that I thought I better get my mom downstairs. She doesn't do stairs very well so that took a little time to get her downstairs. We are all fine Fort Collins was passed over by the storm. When they lifted the lock down for the schools they dismissed the kids. It was a wild day.
Steve works in Boulder. I called him to see what the weather was doing there only to fine out it was sunny and just a beautiful day. Colorado Springs where Jessica and her family lives had the same thing. When she called me to see what was going on she was heading to the swimming pool with her girls. Colorado can be so crazy with it's weather.
I just got an e-mail from our Bishop there were some members of the church who lost their homes. The stake with send some people to help with clean up. It will take all summer to put the town of Windsor back together.

Wow! Glad that your whole family is safe! Weather in Utah is weird too! It was just hailing a few minutes ago and then it just stopped out of nowhere! Crazy thing called Weather!! Love you all!
We figured that "no news is good news" in this particular case...but that doesn't mean we wouldn't mind hearing from your neck of the woods a little more frequently! we're glad you're all safe and hope to see most of you soon at the reunion.
I was thinking about your family! I'm glad you are all safe!
I'm glad you are all safe and everyone was okay. It's scary to have people scattered all over during bad weather.
