Today is the deadline to book your rooms with The Macbeth Family Reunion rate. At midnight tonight the remaining rooms I have reserved will go back into the general pool. So if you want the rate and a room for sure do so by today. The number is 719-598-5770 The Academy Hotel in Colorado Springs. Let me know when you book- book even if your not 100% that your coming you can always cancel with no charge within 24hours of your stay!
I don't know if anyone was planning on extending their stay here but the hotel did say they would honor the discount rate if you want to stay longer. Let me know if you are planning to and I will get you a list of the TONS of fun and great things to do in the area. We have great stuff to do for all budgets! So let me know.
As far as Thursday goes my mom and family will be in the Springs by 11 am- I of course am here. We will have an activity planned for the afternoon before we can check into the hotel. The location of that is still to be determined! So if you get into town early we will have a place to be and family to spend time with! We won't have lunch but you can pick something up we have awesome restaurants here! We are working on the agenda for the week and will get it to you soon. . . I just have to get through the last week of school before I can really get on that!
On Saturday after check out we will have three options for activities if you aren't ready to jump on the road right away. A free one, and cheap one and a more "expensive" one. I may be able to get group discounts if we have enough numbers wanting to go. (I am thinking maybe the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo as the more expensive one) but it is a GREAT zoo! As soon as I have all those details worked out I'll let you know.
We also had a thought of doing a fun auction with "family bucks". You have a set amount of "family bucks" to start but I have ways to earn or acquire more! But I would need people to bring something to auction, something they've made or done. . . like I know Uncle Richard draws amazing drawings (my brother still has one he did for him), Roberta makes amazing quilts (that's a lot but I know you make lots of cool stuff), Eric you wanna bring a cake (haha)?, maybe some amazing jams or jellies from Washington. I don't know I think it could be really fun. What's your thoughts? Anyone interested? LET ME KNOW!
Another note- Anna is still working on her project for the reunion. (see below) She still needs a response from Paul, Karen and Dave. She does have the CD with the pictures so if your favorite pic is on that just let us know which one it is. But she still needs the stories from you. Thanks.

Dear Great Aunts and Uncles,
I am Jessica’s daughter, Anna, and I am working on a personal progress project for the family reunion. I will be putting together a book of history on significant years in Great Grandma’s and Grandpa’s life. I need your help. What I need from you is; your favorite childhood story, and your favorite picture either of yourself, you and your parents or your family etc. I am also looking for other important or key years in their lives. For example, the year they were married, the year great grandma went on a mission, the year they met, and any other years you think I should consider.
The book I’m putting together will have interesting facts about each year in their lives. It will also have stories and pictures from their lives. My hope is that each family will take home a copy of their own. This project is going to take a lot of time and work, so if you could send me your information as soon as you can, that would be great. You can send the information back to my email address (alwdancer@msn.com) or my mom’s (jessieawaters@hotmail.com). I’m hoping to have it put together by the beginning of June.
